Steve Kelban, Executive Director

Steve Kelban is the Executive Director of the fifth generation Andrus Family Fund (AFF), a foundation in New York City. Prior to this appointment in January 2000, he served for 12 years as the Executive Director of the Public Interest Law Center at the NYU School of Law, and directed the school’s prestigious Root-Tilden Public Interest Scholarship Program. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kelban was a staff attorney of the Criminal Defense Division of The New York City Legal Aid Society, the Associate Director and General Counsel of a pre-trial diversion program at Court Employment Project, a Program Associate at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation’s Justice Program and the Speaker’s Counsel for the Committee on Children and Families at the New York State Assembly.
Jill Williams, Program Officer

To her work as AFF’s program officer, Jill Williams brings her grantee experience as the former executive director of the Greensboro (North Carolina) Truth and Reconciliation Commission. This commission – the first of its kind in the United States - examined the context, causes, sequence and consequence of the Nov. 3, 1979, shooting deaths by Klansmen and Nazis of five labor and community organizers. Prior to her work in Greensboro, Jill worked as a mediator, an oral historian and an adjunct college professor. Raised in Pulaski, Virginia, Jill graduated from Davidson College with a degree in religion, where she later served as the assistant director of the Programs for the Theological Exploration of Vocation. She also earned a masters degree in conflict resolution at Antioch University McGregor.

Ingrid Halloway currently works as Program Associate of the Andrus Family Fund (AFF) and the Andrus Family Philanthropy Program (AFPP). She works with the organization’s Executive Director, Steven Kelban and Program Officer, Jill Williams. Mrs. Halloway holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the City University of New York, Bernard M. Baruch College.
